Anchorage is building care we’ve been short on for years.
Construction is moving forward on an 80 bed skilled nursing facility tied to ANTHC, with a planned opening in summer 2026. The building is over 90,000 square feet and is now entering major structural phases like steel and exterior work.
This isn’t just another medical building. It’s designed to reflect Alaska Native culture while filling a serious gap in long term and post acute care. Right now, many patients end up stuck in hospitals longer than needed or sent out of state.
For families, that means more care options close to home. For hospitals, it frees up beds and reduces backup across the system. For the workforce, it adds long term healthcare jobs in Anchorage.
Projects like this don’t move fast unless the need is real. This one clearly is.
