The Daily Alaska is independently owned and operated in Alaska. It is not owned by a political party, a candidate, a utility or a trade group.

Sourcing

Every story lists its sources with links. When we build on another newsroom's reporting, we credit it by name and link to the original. When we republish wire copy under license, the story says so.

Advertising and sponsorship

Advertising and tracker sponsorships are labelled. Sponsors have no say in what we cover or how we cover it, and they see no story before it publishes.

AI

Our use of AI is disclosed in full on our How we use AI page. A person approves every story before it publishes.
