she audited alaska's money

Anchorage's 2027 mayor's race just got its most serious candidate yet.

and now she’s coming for city hall.

Former state Senator Natasha von Imhof filed this week to run for Anchorage mayor in April 2027. She's an Anchorage native who spent six years in the Alaska Senate co-chairing the Finance Committee and overseeing the state budget.

She also served on the Anchorage School Board before heading to Juneau and has been on the Rasmuson Foundation board for over 20 years — one of the most influential civic organizations in the state.

This is important because trust in government spending is at an all time low right now AND most of us have serious questions about where the city's money is actually going. Public safety, housing, infrastructure. The same problems keep showing up every year and a candidate who spent years auditing the state budget could unravel some answers.
