A Polynesian food truck that started in Fairbanks during the pandemic just opened a full restaurant on Fireweed Lane in Anchorage.

Suka's Polynesian Cuisine just opened its second location at 302 West Fireweed Lane. Jamie and Jedidiah Stewart started this whole thing during the pandemic, selling Spam musubi and katsu chicken from a food truck in Fairbanks back in 2021. Now they are bringing those same flavors to Anchorage full time.
We are talking poke bowls, pulled pork plates, garlic shrimp, and seafood platters. The menu also includes smoothies, house made pineapple mango tea, and a pineapple blast dessert with vanilla ice cream.
The restaurant is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. The Stewarts plan to bring their food truck to Anchorage events this summer too, especially Polynesian community gatherings like cricket and rugby games. Fireweed Lane just got a whole lot more interesting.
