Anchorage folks joke about it, but North Pole finally got the pizza upgrade it’s been begging for.

The town is opening its first-ever Domino’s right on Santa Claus Lane, and locals have been watching the buildout all month. It lands December 20, sliding a national chain into a spot that’s usually all mom-and-pop territory.

People in the Fairbanks area don’t get many new food options, so this one hit fast on local feeds. The owner says demand has been loud for years, and you can feel it every time a big line forms for anything new out there. The spot sits right off the main drag, so weekend traffic is probably about to get spicy.

And the timing couldn’t be more on-brand for a town built around Christmas. A hot pizza run in the middle of a brutal cold snap is basically peak North Pole living.
