Shamrock Shuffle took over downtown Anchorage again, celebrating 15 years filling the streets with runners dressed head to toe in St. Patrick’s Day gear.
Green shirts, shamrock hats, and plenty of costumes turned the race into more of a moving party than a serious competition.
The 5K loop pulled almost nine-hundred people through downtown as families, runners, and walkers all joined in. Some pushed strollers, some raced for time, and plenty just showed up to enjoy the energy.
It has quietly become one of Anchorage’s favorite spring traditions. After months of snow and dark mornings, getting outside with a crowd feels like the city waking up again.
